the Artist…
Hello, I’m Steve Briggs, a.k.a. Jeremiah, welcome to the Hidden Realm.
The main purpose of this blog is twofold: First, to introduce my art work to a larger audience. Secondly, to shed some light on some Biblical scenery, that has in many cases become fairly ordinary. I’ll probably do some art instruction and post a variety of other illustrations to boot.
Though not much about the Bible is ordinary; it certainly has taken on a tame appearance in many renderings throughout the ages. I’m not slamming the abilities of the talented people who created them, ( Considering that they are many times more talented than I) I’m simply wanting to bring an element of the fantastical to the genre. The creatures in the scriptures often defy the imagination. The people are faced with challenges beyond their human abilities, and the angelic powers (good and bad) are fearsome.
I’ll warn you up front that you may find some of these images a little edgy. I’ve interspersed these illustrations with other paintings I’ve done in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Actually, much of the of the work I do could easily fall into this category.( You will also notice that some of the work included here is strictly in that category.) If you left click on the pictures they will enlarge. Then you can left click to use the magnification tool.
I hope you learn something useful from the art lessons (for those who are interested in how these images were achieved) and my observations/comments about life in general and how it relates to the Hidden Realm. Please feel free to comment on what you see. You can also ask questions about what I post and I’ll answer as quick as I possibly can.
So, sit back and enjoy your tour of the supernatural, para-normal, fantastical, and sometimes frightening word of the Hidden Realm that is all around us.

Edgy is a good description. I’m still learning to “GET” art. I really need to do imagination push-ups. I try to delete my blurry and poorly lit dancer pictures. What do I know???
It is a great blessing and honor to be surrounded by so many weird and abnormal people. Normal is boring. Why be Normal?? Your investment in laying down your art for so long is now really starting to pay off. Not only are you now doing good art you’re getting to do Spiritual art. What could be better.

You don’t “get” art. Its an experiance. Kind of like the ambient scent of incense. Or perhaps the way senery changes with the sun light.
